Nice tips here. It would be great to get more info on how to get to know the right people &amp; build the needed network to promote your stuff. 

One of the things that i have found to be most useful in this area is getting to know the people you want to connect with through their blog by reading their content and actively participating through commenting. (this all assumes you are trying to connect with people who write about things that you enjoy and are interested in)
